Knights of Saint Columba Accrington

Council 188

The aim of this organisation is to assist the clergy and promote the Catholic Faith within the community. The action plan for 2012 includes organising a meeting between the Christian Churches and our MP Graham Jones, distributing SPUC and RTL literature to the parishes in this area, in total we have 21 various activities planned to initiate local activities promoting the Faith within our communities. The Easter events are the most public events we organise culminating in the Good Friday Stations of the Cross on Coppice

The Knights of Saint Columba is a men’s organisation who meet at 7.30 pm in the parish room in Saint Anne’s Presbytery on the third Friday of each month. An invitation is extended to all Catholic men to attend these meetings and see the work we do.

Knights of St Columba Day of Recollection

On Saturday 17th September, Fr Ian Kelly, an international retreat-giver will be leading a day of talks and prayer at St Joseph's church hall. The day begins at 10am with Holy Mass and there are some talks as well as the opportunity for discussion and questions. Please do come along on that day, the day is free and open to everyone of any age. It is very good of Fr Kelly to give us a full day here in

Hyndburn so the more people who attend the better!
